About The Artwork

These dolphins were inspired by my personal experience of seeing these animals on the Shannon River in Ireland. When I moved to this Wild Atlantic Coast never did I expect that they would be native to these waters. An incredibly intelligent creature that lives so close to me, yet remains a mystery. I wanted to capture their wonderful movement under the water, and brilliant blue and green colours. I chose to depict a mother dolphin with her new baby dolphin calf to show the bond between a mother and child, and how close they are to human relationships. The emotional connection between the dolphins within groups is well documented. It's a reminder that they are mammals like us, and not fish. These carefully crafted dolphins are mounted on a local stone from Kilbaha and are where the sculptures were produced further connecting them to this land. Limited edition of 6 pairs were initially produced. Only 2 are still available.

Currently located in Ireland, I am producing what I believe is my best work yet. Focused primarily on bronze sculpture my latest series of limited edition sculptures have been inspired by coastal living, natural marine beauty and the mythology of Ireland. Originally from Azerbaijan, where I was born and lived until I was 15, during the collapse of the Soviet Union my family migrated to New York City. I spent over 20 years in the USA, studying art and working in the Art Industry.
