Tim Smith raised in the mountain part of Switzerland. After studying one year at the college of art in Zurich he made his master degree in economics at the University Zurich. In 2012 Tim focused on conceptual society art, which is still the main direction of his work. Tim lives and works in Zurich. Statement: Create! Interview: "I can summarize who I am in three words: Innovative, Social and Passionate. Those three words are playing a key role in my work as an artist. Innovation is the reason why I did my master degree in Economics at the University of Zurich and co-founded a marketing consulting company. I do have an economic view on innovation and I agree with the growing economic doctrine based on technology, entrepreneurship and innovation. Innovation means to risk something, to have the courage to try, and fail and to create new things. In my artworks, I try hard to do things different and not just copy and paste. That's why I created a new sub art category named "conceptual society art". This brings me to the next word: Society. Back in the days, I used say I love people and watching them. I still do but I'm not sure if the future needs us. Even if not, I will not stop trying to leave this world a little better than I found it - as Robert Baden-Powell advised. Art has the potential and the burden to change the peoples view without forcing them. This is what I try to do with my artworks and art-experiments. That's what I'm passionate about then only with passion we are able to reach for the stars to change the world."
