The impetus for this work is the question of what we can do to counter this reality/world. What carries us in this time? Life has become very complex. We are influenced by media and and seemingly driven, so much so that reflection is hardly possible any more due to information and restlessness is hardly possible any more. As an artist, I do not transfer this restlessness that I perceive directly to my sculptural work. I create a counterpoint by forming figures that show stability and grounding. At the same time, however, there is also a slight lostness is perceptible. The sculpture, the man, has an aesthetic appearance. He is very muscular, has broad broad shoulders and a broad neck. It is an approximation of a strong, stable, almost perfect human being. His left eye is covered. He does not have the ability to perceive the world as a whole. He is slightly inhibited because the toes of his left foot are not fully developed (fused). Similar with the hands: One wrist shows a crack. Small ambiguities show how vulnerable the powerful body becomes. I play with the approximation of a steel body and the image of power and strength. The gestures of his hands search for a balance. It is precisely this power of human existence. Technique The first sketch of this sculpture was made of clay. After that I made a model out of iron and wood to apply the clay for modelling. This was then mouldedwith a mixture of silicone, resina (resin) and glass fibre mats. This material is extremely durable and has a long life. The sculpture is a hollow casting with iron reinforcement. This makes it quite light compared to a solid sculpture. Material / technical procedure: additive with clay build-up and casting process in Resina, lacquer with oil paint patinated with wax, in the base there is a steel plate with 4x M12 threaded rods for mounting. Weight: approx. 30 kg signed (bottom right)

Austrian based sculptor in wood, ceramic, bronce & marble Commissions, sales and hire Seeing, transforming, manifesting – these are the essentials of my art. With my abilities to work naturalistically, I try my hands on the human body. I’m working myself off. On my bodies. Thereby, I’m processing my themes. Which are wounds, dreams and thought structures. In my artworks I am seeking to represent psychological topics. By the use of structures and surface treatments. To visualize emotional processes inside and outside the human organism. Those processes assume shape through my sculptures. In his existence the human being is a disrupted creature. Abstract shapes and deformations stick out of the bodies. They show a kind of brutality. Which is always part of being existent. Sensuality is a also a topic that occupies me deeply. And I try to express it in my artworks. Farther, I attempt to capture time in a pose or a facial expression. Thereby, I’m constantly experimenting with materials and surfaces. Striving for new forms of expression. And this pursuit practically becomes evident on the sculptures.
