About The Artwork

Eastern culture is mysterious, simple and complex at the same time. I love to view the works of the old masters of Japan and China. They are unusually poetic, subtle, caress the eye and dispose to reflection. I have a series of works "Gunbi peonies", which are made in my own technique "Embossed surface" (I got inspiration from the works of artists of imperial China), this year I painted several pictures of cherry blossoms (I painted them during the cherry blossom in Japan ). Japanese culture is very symbolic, important symbols for the Japanese are the chrysanthemum and the sword. Chrysanthemum in the imperial attributes of Japan is a sign of power, dignity and honor. The sword is a symbol of courage, strength. It served the Japanese not only as a weapon, but also as a sacred symbol, a talisman. I wanted the picture to have tenderness, dignity and courage, and something else that only you will see.

My name is Tetiana. I was born in Ukraine in Kharkov city. I am a programmer by education. But there has always been love for art, there were ballet, gymnastics, dancing, singing. I painted nesting dolls. There was also a passion for decoupage. Later I created collages, sometimes combining this technique with decoupage. The next love is collage in Photoshop, artistic photo processing. But a few years ago I got acquainted with the technique of Sculptural Painting, then a new direction in art. I independently mastered this technique, participated in the first competition, where my work won third place, created my own style, which I called "Embossed Surface", recorded a video of masterclass on it. This hobby gave a powerful impetus to my creative desires and abilities. Private painting lessons from a Kharkov artist helped me to determine the priorities. Now I’m alternating “Sculptural painting - Embossed Surface” with painting in the impasto technique, with my own Mosaic technique and with modeling from polymer clay. And I get great pleasure from all these types of creativity. I do what reflects my vision of the world and myself in it.
