About The Artwork
For years I dreamed with the idea of sculpting a kufiyya put on an anonymous head, but only in its coloured parts. It would be a figurative sculpture sorrounding the emptiness. In that way the grid would play a formal game with itself in a different way from any point of view without losing its figurative meaning. When I thought it, it was impossible to do with the technology of that time. That idea was only possible to materialize when I 3D pencils were created a few years ago. The entire piece is done drawing with the 3D pencil little by little on the fabric of the kufiyya put around a head. It took several months to finish it
