Pele's Tear (single) Print

Madame Pele, the fiery goddess of volcanoes came to me in a vision. I was asked what she would cry if she cried - tears of fire i replied (of course!). I drew out one of the tears, found an old gnarly slab of Koa wood hidden in a pile behind my friends wood shop. I sanded it down and the wood glowed like ti was on fire. So I made one, then more, then had them at an art sales event at Queen Emma Summer Palace in Nuuanu. A Kumu Hula (great Hula teacher) approached my booth and loudly exclaimed "Pele's Tears, how wonderful!" I was shocked - how did she know that I titles these "Pele's Tears"? I was confused, she was confused, until she pulled out her phone and showed me a photo of the glass formations produced by an exploding volcano....called Pele's Tears...that looked almost exactly like what I had created. These are divinely inspired by Madam Pele - I was open enough to receive the vision.
