About The Artwork
Throughout times the head was an important object to celebrate spiritual rituals and physical healing or simply a scientific object. In the last centuries scientists marked certain areas on the skull by being certain to know where our emotions sit. Each pearl represents a certain emotion that keeps the jaw and the upper part together. Honouring what we feel and what we are deep to the bone was my motivation. Very detail oriented object created by porcelain slip cast. bisque fired by 950 c and final fired by 1390 c. The third firing for the black dots was made by 1100 c.
