About The Artwork
I think a lot about ecology and evolution. This work was driven by material research into transforming reconstituted discarded plastics into sculpture material. The golden brain belongs to the most intelligent of animals, able to read and respond rapidly to changing environmental conditions. The golden brain can be hung as a freestanding wall work. It can be placed on a plinth or table as a sculptural object. It would make a great award or trophy for a clever thinker. As you place the palm of your hand over the golden object it feels as if you could wish for the intelligence you require for the journey ahead.
