RÍO (river), It is a sculptural work by Rebeca Mayo that is part of the CORA MAGARA series. CORA MAGARA Cora talks about territory, Cora is also an asteroid and a rocket from the 60s. Cora sounds like a sea, Cora is a woman's name. Magara is the inherent force in all things, it is the symbiotic relationship between the living and the dead. CORA MAGARA is a pretext to create objects from pieces of wood, cloth and clay. It is a paleolithic incantation, a cure, a necessity, a drive that has been generated from the metaphor of the lived and materialized in small and medium format sculptures. It is a process of investigation of the plot, the texture and the colors, concluding in abstract worlds but also forming anthropomorphic beings impregnated with symbolism.

Spain
My name is Rebeca Mayo, I was born one day with rain in the inconceivable city of Mexico, I grew up in a small town full of markets and street vendors, I have always thought that the world is a great show. I enjoy watching, I am pleased to have my head full of impossible scenes. I studied Fine Arts at the UGR in Spain, at USP in Brazil and at UABJO in Mexico. At the age of 25 I opened a store in the center of Granada and set up my own brand ENTRÓPIQA, in it I materialized all my curiosity. I have been a teacher at the SCHOOL OF ART GRANADA in the subject of SKETCHING AND CREATIVE PROCESS, later I decided. A nice house in the Albaicín neighborhood (UNESCO) to turn it into a guest house, after 3 years and 2 children I closed it to open myself again to the harakiri of the arts.
