From the first hominid who looked up to the sky through Jules Verne's suggestions to the space race, the constant question is whether it is an act of hope or pride of the Human Race.

About The Artwork

The artwork is a tribute to the 1902 film "Le Voyage dans la Lune" by Georges Méliès, father of special effects and considered by many to be the inventor of film direction. If in 1902 a trip to the moon was still considered science fiction, in 1957, with the beginning of the space race, it began to be an increasingly concrete possibility, which then culminated in 1969, the year in which man finally set foot on our satellite. This progressive conquest of space has produced, especially in recent years, a dizzying increase in "space junk". Although the idea of traveling in space in search of new worlds is fascinating and technology has significantly improved the quality of life, we should ask ourselves what impact these behaviors are having not only on our planet but also outside it. Virgo represents the face of a violated moon, the rocket enters her eye causing her an expression of pain. The artwork is made with recycled mirrors and aluminum obtained from beer cans. The use of recycled materials is very important in our work, even scraps can create something beautiful and even a broken mirror can have a new life.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

We are Federica Venier and Federico Grande, a couple in work and in life, self-taught sculptors since 2015. Our adventure was born almost for fun, not having much money to invest we started using low cost and recycled materials. Today's society is characterized by strong consumerism and many materials are wasted or thrown away, but we think it is important to enhance them by giving them a second life. Even with poor and waste materials you can create an extraordinary work. Our artworks are unique pieces made entirely by hand. The light interacts with them making them "alive", they change according to the time of day, the weather, the lighting and the point from which you look at it.
