About Georg Redzek

When we observe, or above all, when we talk about the artistic style and iconography in the field of Georg Redzek’s art, not just newly created but in the total engagement, we cannot miss to wonder about the very essence of human being on any of the plans: spiritual, intellectual, concept ... Especially on religious and moral.
His works are not only, or just the usual, high-quality artistic performances of a strong experience of the world that surrounds us and which we historically articulate. They remind us that we should pay attention to micro-elements of the overall performances of life that the artist offers us the insight. Georg Redzek wants to draw our attention with these micro-elements to the loss of awareness of ourselves, to surrendering to leisurely modern communication options, and to all that this same leisurely communication brings and carries.
Powerful and evocative expressivity of the painting, completely opposite to the author's personal appearance, invokes for a strong, serious and profound reflection. His works, although they are visually seductive, do not seek pleasure in the simplicity of simple visual observation, but a serious and responsible personal involvement.
Although an artist himself can be fully satisfied with the achieved visual and semantic value of the presented work, and he is personally aware of that, it is necessary not only to pay attention to everything that he tells us, but also to participate in it. It has long been known that the art and the artist cannot change the world, but they can point us to good or bad, and Georg Redžek, with his works and his opus and, above all, the exceptional visual language does that steadfastly and persistently.
Long ago it was said that the only and the real art is the one that impels the viewer to contemplation, ie. the perception of the sublime beauty of the present. Speaking about the works of Georg Redzek, the same observation is raised to a higher level, to promotion of provocative and positive awakening of individual and collective awareness of ourselves and the surroundings.
