Sekar Rajagopal

I am Sekar Rajagopal, a self-taught artist living and working in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. My artistic practice is deeply rooted in classical training and shaped by a strong affinity for Art Deco aesthetics, combining timeless elegance with a contemporary sensibility.

Before moving to Germany, I trained in Sri Lanka under the renowned artist Maniyam, where I developed skills in large-format advertising painting and portraiture. This early foundation continues to influence my visual language, characterized by expressive compositions, refined craftsmanship, and emotionally resonant storytelling.

Many of my works have been exhibited and sold internationally online, particularly in the United States, where six paintings have been sold to date. Through my paintings, I seek to create works that possess character, atmosphere, and narrative depth.
