About Veta Barker
I was a fashion designer. Forms, lines, ideas, colors, styles was everything for me. Painting for me was like joy for soul and eyes. When I moved for living in USA in Colorado my active life with Fashion stopped, but I opened my heart for amazing Nature in this state and around beautiful America. I was absolutely a city woman. America change me and back to human roots, to Earth value, made me stop and "smell the roses". My Landscapes media are acrylic and oil. I love to capture Moments in Nature. I love to paint Clouds and Water. They change every second with a shapes and colors. They are movement in a painting. I try saturated in mood and atmosphere. Some compositions comes from my travel memories, some come from my imagination. Like an artist I try interpret what I see in a Nature in my own visual language. Abstraction is my emotions and my world which I open up for you. The abstract painting looks like it's already done, but nothing has to be. I do not use rules in my abstract paintings, my colors are complete freedom. When I start my abstract painting, I never know what happens to the end. I don't use complicated techniques, I just like colors interpretation and I try to paint feelings. Thank you for reading my "about artist" and for looking at my art. Wish you the best. Veta Barker
