ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The Evocations are a series of works in which my research focuses on the union of mental and material evocation. They represent an important moment in my work, both from the point of view of the freedom of plastic and formal expression, and from the point of view of the material language used I mean mental evocation, as it could be a memory, a deep thought, a projection into the future or even, as in this painting, the image of a character whose body is the protagonist of a landscape of dreamlike and symbolic atmosphere: The WRITER evokes the noble intellectual action of the human being, that of writing, imagining, thinking. In fact, the figurativeness of the human body is encoded in the sign that accompanies the image as in a translation of the iconic into an abstract sign At the material level, using in addition to acrylic, water and oil colors, also evocative natural materials such: paper, newspaper, graphite, sand It was exhibited in the exhibitions: 2004: Personal "METAMORFOSI - EVOCAZIONI", Romanian Academy in Rome and Palazzo Borghese, organized by Municipality of Monte Porzio Catone, text by art critic Mario de Candia, exhibition design by Arhitect Pietro Bagli Pennacchiotti Catalog available 2004: International of contemporary art "LILITH", organised by Municipality of Frascati, Museum "Scuderie Aldobrandini", curator Maria Luisa Trevisan. With the participation of Italian Nobel Prize Rita Levi Montalcini. Cultural support of Lazio Region, Rome Province and Ministry of Cultural Activities 2013: International of Contemporary Art "XXXX PRIZE SULMONA" Diocesan Civic Museums - Sulmona 2022: Personal "METAMORPHOSIS" for NIGHT OF MUSEUMS, Rome at the Romanian Embassy in Italy ITINERARIA, "Umberto Mastroianni" Museum.
