Matching Not Matching

Free abstraction meets the rigor of the square figure. Inspired from part of another painting (strawberry ice dream) where almost 3 squares appear in a row, Michele Lysek wants to explore the unique combination given through the use of mathematic squares and the airy free abstract expression. If we take a further look back into Michele Lysek's work, we see that he already kind of started exploring the squares visuals in "No One is an Island - 2018" And his very first painting, realized in 2017 which is a big painting with 30 colored squares and rectangles.
