Metamorphosis/USA, Elkhart Lake drawings

The collection features drawings that adopt shapes and textures from the environment of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. They are composed of traces, documentation samples created with the method of frottage, a way of capturing an element's shape or texture on paper. All drawings are created on site in an improvisational manner, using wax crayon on fine Japanese Hanshi paper. They are part of the project "Metamorphosis/USA" that is unfolding in real time during a three month journey across the United States, July-October 2014.
