'Club Culture'

This series celebrates Amsterdam's night culture, after being 'locked down' for over a year. A series depicting multiple clubs and concert halls, all made on location, inside the venue on the dance floor. In the leftover smell of beer, sigarettes and other toxens. Disco's and concert halls for all ages coming together in there mutual emptiness. Nightlife is a very important and vibrant part of Amsterdams cultural scene. This importance is enhanced by the visible void we all shared, the emptiness in our minds. Its not just made "en plein air", rather "en plain air vide". I enhance the emptiness by looking for a image depicting it and a brush stroke that fits the drama, creating the esthetics of the emptiness.
