Human/Nature: America's Third Coast

The Gulf Coast is a complex convergence of natural beauty and human infrastructure. Unlike the East and West Coast which see millions of visitors each year, taking in their natural beauty, the Gulf Coast inhabitants are inextricably intertwined with its natural beauty through the amalgamation of oil and gas infrastructure, fishing and other critical industries. The images depict the intersection of landscape infrastructure and the beauty of the country's third--and often forgotten--coastline.
