OR - LIGHT

OR - LIGHT Year 5777 from the Creation of the World has come. The exhibition is arranged on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year). It presents ten paintings. Ten is the number of sefirot – the attributes of the Tree of Life in Kabbalah. Before the creation of the world there was just the Creator. The Creation of the world made it necessary for His presence in this world. The system of the spiritual governance of the world manifestates itself in the sefirot. There are ten of them, because ten is the symbol of Unity. That is why the exhibition consists of ten paintings as it was proposed by the artist Simon Lenker. 4 paintings are by Simon Lenker and 6 paintings are by Alisa Jakobi.
