Music Notes Series

This is an ongoing body of work of abstract and expressionist paintings with the figurative addition of music notes. This series started many years ago when I began creating illustrations with music notes and then I incorporated the theme into paintings. As the son of a carpenter I've been incorporating workshop tools into the process of my paintings over recent years. This includes snapping a builder's chalk line in some of the music notes paintings to form the lines of the music staff.
