Les Méandres

The meanders is the return of Kathleen Finlay to the painting medium. Before, during and in the slow emerging after the Covid 19 confinement, this current body of work explores the purity in nature contrasting with human interaction and man made structures. Buildings such as the old barn show the eventual fragility of all man-made structures. The farmer’s fields become lines and patterns that change with the seasons. She is fascinated with symbols that remind us that life is fleeting and transient.
