"Messed Up Situations"
This series of paintings are inspired on my latest trip trough Mexico. I have spent six months traveling the North and West side of Mexico and dedicated another six moths finishing this series in a beautiful town named “Comala” by the Colima Volcanos.
I choose the name for the series on my first impressions I had on the people and the cities and all that it involves (its commerce galore, sales of mostly anything and also the nice smiling people that I encounter trough the trip).
The glazed geometrical forms are a way to represent how the routine of an everyday life, blinds us from the magic, the colors and the incredible sometimes bizarre objects out there.
