Nosferatu 2020_21

This paintings belongs to a series a started recently dealing with black and white film stills from the classic silent movie "Nosferatu" by Friedrich Wilhem Murnau from 1922. Here we see Helen (actress: Greta Schroeder) who awaits Count Orlok (actor: Max Schreck) who will suck her blood. She sacrifies her in order to keep him by her bedside while the dawn is slowly apporaching which will eventually vaporise him for good.
