One and The Same
In this series, Athena explores the concept of “Identity”. Do societal expectations & inherited belief systems inhibit our self-expression & empowerment?
Athena draws from the eclectic streets of San Francisco, where prostitution, homosexuality, drugs, class divide and racial discrimination are common. Judgement of others is a perpetual reality; we are human and only familiar with “our story” yet it ultimately feeds separation & isolation.
The embodiment of Jesus is used in the work to convey, “We are all one and the same”. No matter the sin, background, religion, race or class. Through unconditional love and compassion for self and others, you will discover a unified connection with all.
