Please Press Pause

This line of work is part of my "Please Press Pause" Solo Exhibition, which is all about getting viewers to identify what they wish they could hit the pause button on in their own lives. Each artwork is untitled, only to be named for its date of purchase once bought, forever "pausing" that moment in time for the new owner. Each piece visually has a nod to the pause symbol, some more obvious than others, and a memory capsule is housed on the back for the owner to fill out a gratitude list. The artwork can then become a daily reminder to practice gratitude, while the memoir on the back can be revisited years down the road when the reasons for gratitude will have shifted.
