Paintings Series I

My work conveys a connection with atmospheric interiors and the sound properties of spaces. Looking outward with a fresh perspective from memory and the imagination. This work is about space and memory juxtaposed with landscapes and thresholds. The Inner space series of pictures primarily in oil on canvas, photography, print and or mixed media make a representation of calm meditative reflective spaces, some empty some from memory some experienced. The Initial inspiration usually develops from photography and experiences with landscape and architecture. Audiences have responded to the work with a sense of memory, space, calmness and spontaneity. The paintings are a colourful interplay between representation and abstraction.
