Rajasthani Dance: Chari

Photography: Digital, Black & White and Paper on Paper. India is a landscape of color. The people, temples and roadside stands have a carnival depth to them. It was for this reason that I chose to make the images black and white with markings of a wet plate print. I didn't want the colors of the garments to detract from the movements of the dancers and their facial expressions. Each of these prints was designed and created with the dance and the dancer in mind. These pigment prints can be purchased and shown as single works of art or in sequence.
