Journey from the figurative to the abstract

In 2016 I started a series of figurative sculptures where I pose the figure emphasizing in the movement to the limit of the abstraction, since I consider that the greater abstraction of the figure occurs in the movement of this, the "speed" in which it happens is for me A certain reaction for the time to happen. This collection brings together a series of portraits, nudes, and torsos, etc., made in cement through the mortar casting technique. The use of cement seems ideal for the sculpture, since it is a cheap but rigid and resistant material at the same time, it is less dangerous when working and can be combined with other materials and techniques giving it a more unusual touch More creative than bronze casting.
