L'Etre et le Neon
This series explores the relationship between Man and man-made creations. Each piece juxtaposes classical sculpture - with quasi-medical details of body structures that express my fascination for organic matter - and black-and-white, Cartesian, often geometrical elements embodying Man's ability to formalize concepts and bring them to reality.
Bright streams of white light connect both, representing Man's constant desire to aim for the extraordinary and to shed light on what has not been explored yet.
The series title "L'Etre et le Néon" ("Being and Neon") is a reference to the philosophical essay by Jean-Paul Sartre, "L'Etre et le Néant" ("Being and Nothingness").
