Pita Plastico

Pita Plastico is the most common string used in Central and South America. It is made from plastic and looks like a colorful, twine; sometimes its opaque, other times it has a shimmery glow. I have watched people work with this material for 3-years. This piece takes this common material and creates a modern, organized rendition. Almost like paying homage to the simple beauty of this material in an artistic form.
