Essay of Marcelo Adifa, via Ambrosia. Contemporary artist born in Brasil and based in Lisbon. Son of one of the many families of Northeastern migrants, he learned to look at São Paulo and the great cities of the world with the look of enchantment, always seeking to take from concrete and daily life a differentiated image. Born in 1991, the photographer and visual artist is one of the main revelations of the Brazilian visual arts. With the accumulation of those who accompanied the father making caricatures and learned to draw under the supervision of a construction painter became an artist with multiple facets and always connected to reality, even when confronted. Perhaps that's where his interest in concrete, bridges and overpasses is portrayed with unusual plasticity, as if the buildings gained their own life and movement. In the collages the artist demonstrates another characteristic; the capacity for deconstruction of the uniform matter into something that is capable of loosening itself into slices and rediscovering itself in a different and original way when called upon to recompose itself. Based in Lisbon and having contact with great European artists, he developed and sharpened his technique, including new elements to his daily work; Recognized, he was the guest artist for the issue number 01 of Chorume Brasil magazine, illustrating great artists of Brazilian literature.
