Code Collage

This is a handmade collage from Metatarsal Series. Paper and paint on canvas. The name of the art piece is Code. This was inspired by the cyber world we live in nowadays. Width: 42 cm Height: 29.7 cm I've created this artwork when I broke my metatarsal bone back in 2015. I had to spend almost 2 months in a cast, staying at home. I found plenty of time to experiment with paper and paint during that time. I have found a pile of fashion magazines and used them to create collages alongside paint and canvas. I've called art series Metatarsal to reflect the philosophy of creating art pieces with paper and paint, as well as to outline my physical disability during that time. Metatarsal bones are located in the middle of the foot between the tarsal bones and the phalanges of the toes. Thus Metatarsal series is a series of broken art between paper and paint.
