About The Artwork
I glued a collage of soft and rough textile fragments and dried tree leaves onto white, stiff watercolor paper. I have supplemented the motif with sweeping ink painting. The picture is slightly three-dimensional and always looks different and very lively with different lighting and the gold brocade fabric. The golden yellow forms a nice contrast to the cyan blue. The picture is intended to represent the dynamic new beginning in nature in spring. The picture and the motif are unique. Ich habe eine Collage aus weichen und groben Textilfragmenten und getrockneten Baumblättern auf weißes, festes Aquarellpapier geklebt. Ergänzt habe ich das Motiv mit schwungvoller Tuschemalerei. Das Bild ist leicht plastisch und wirkt bei unterschiedlicher Beleuchtung und dem Goldbrokatstoff immer anders und sehr lebendig. Das Goldgelb bildet einen schönen Kontrast zu dem Cyanblau. Das Bild soll den dynamischen Neuanfang in der Natur im Frühling darstellen. Das Bild und das Motiv sind Einzelstücke.

Born and raised in a small town in Eastern Germany I moved to Berlin to study fashion design. Since then I lived and worked in this wonderful city. My collages shall tell a story through their playful lightness. Berlin as a city is a major inspiration for my artworks in recent years. Especialy the ever changing architecture and gentrification. Through various exhibitions and envents i became part of the expanding berlin art scene. Besides my work as an artist I convey my knowledge and expertise to children and teenagers in social projects for more than 20 years. Moreover my artistic passion lies within analog photography and photography with pinhole cameras.
