Vsevolod Chevalkov, a young St. Petersburg artist announced himself in 2013 at the International Exhibition of Enamel Art "The Sun is for All", St. Petersburg. He confidently and enthusiastically works in this complex and often experimental technique. Experiments and game with textures resulted in the creation of abstractions "Time. Cracks", Protoplasm", "What the Sun was" in 2013. Small-sized works (15x15, 15x25) accumulate energy, immerse in infinitely small and large spaces. Series of enamels of 2015 "Leaves" is lyrical, radiant, contemplative. These works stop time as photographs. The different facet of creativity is compositions. "Based on Roerich's motifs" and "Tibet" are contrasting and colorful. Masterfully stylized architectural motifs get a fresh sound and reflect the mysterious and bright world of the East. All enamels are framed in wood, what emphasizes the spontaneous natural basis and the positive energy of the artworks.
