About The Artwork
For sale is one bead-embroidered M1 Abrams main battle tank replica entitled IMMINENCE of WAR. This piece was created entirely out of felt and tiny glass seed beads. Beads and hardware were stitched by hand 2-3 at a time using strong nylon thread. Its protruding shape is supported by a wire foundation which was sewn into the felt. It is wired on the back and ready to hang. This piece is very extreme bead embroidery (or relief). The artillery stands out from the wall by 3″ and the shadow below the tank (depicting the collaged caskets of our fallen heroes) bends outward by 4″. In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.
