“I’ve always found it difficult to throw away even the smallest scraps of old book covers, especially when they’re embossed or have some other distinguishing quality like texture or color that makes them special. I’m now finding myself getting lost in my large scrap pile searching for sets of organizing principles by which these pieces become art.”
