LIVING DEAD GIRL Collage

The day of the dead theme and the art that goes along with it always captured my interest and I needed my version of it. I had Marilyn Monroe in mind when created this piece. I think anyone who might be a Marilyn fan might like this one. Like many or most of my mosaics I start out with a square piece of wood, I draw my image on it, & then I take little pieces of glass and glue them on the image . Intricately one by one. It usually takes me a week or two to finish it . Some longer than others. depending on size and detail After I am finished adhering all the pieces of glass , I use white grout for the skin and black/ and or sometimes gray for the rest. I Make my own glow in the dark tiles from clay. and stained glass. This piece has hardware installed so it is ready to hang.
