About The Artwork

This artwork was self-inspired to meet the practice of conceptual art. The art is intended to be viewed temporarily over a period of time while the artwork is decomposing, this is dependent on climate change. Each artwork needs to be created for a specific event exhibition. I would like this artwork to inspire the audience to consider issues of real life, sustainability, mortality, the cycle of living objects. We must remember that life is short and should not be wasted. I particularly enjoy this artwork for its sensory impact i.e. smelling the mandarin peel is delightful while it is fresh, but as time passes it loosed that appeal emphasising a state of flux.
