About The Artwork
The artwork was inspired by Haruki Murakami novel 1Q84, reading an exert "measured detachment. On the moon there was neither air nor wind. Its vacuum was perfect for preserving memories". Whilst gazing at Measured detachment I hope the viewer searches their memory of a time where they felt like they were not personally involved in something or of having no emotional interest in it. I want the person viewing the artwork to acclimatise to the feeling of neither air or wind.
