Photogeometry Collage

"Photogeometry" is an abstract collage artwork I used series of pictures, textile acrylic paint, collage, black textile as a canvas and other decorative elements. All the elemets were stitched on sewing machine. The original peice of fabric were stretched as canvas (on canvas-stretcher) sixed 74x79x2 cm. ⠀ For about three months I was working on the series of pictures, they all were about the geometry artist can see in different locations of a city. It can be colorful part of the wall or a straight shadow so simple, but still so beautiful. I have decided to combine different media to recreate the feeling of those pictures. I used that collection for the artwork as a collage part based on the geometry idea. I have cut down all pictures according to its geometric division but I searched only for one shape, a triangle. That is why the collage part of the artwork is based on triangles mostly. I wanted to create the motion effect for the viewer to dive into it, I combined it with colors, and I loved the process. It was led by my intuition during all the way. And fibric was the last element that made this work complete for me. ⠀
