Poland
Hello, my name is Volga, and I am a young artist and costume designer. I am passionate about painting with acrylic and oil on canvas, and I enjoy experimenting with mixed media techniques. My paintings are centered around the theme of emotions - both the ones that uplift us and the ones that can tear us apart. I vividly remember a moment when I showed my paintings to my classmates, who were also students at the time. I had depicted emotions in the form of people in my artwork and had simply placed the paintings on the floor. As my classmates looked at my paintings in complete silence, heads bowed, I was amazed. It was an incredibly gratifying experience to see how I had managed to convey my emotions onto the canvas through paint. It was at that moment that I realized that art is my true calling, something that I can dedicate my time, energy, and feelings to with utmost passion. Being an expatriate, it hasn't always been easy to pursue my dream of being an artist. I had to often do what life in a new country, like Poland where I fled from my native country of Belarus due to political repression, required of me. But I consider myself a strong person, and I firmly believe that good will ultimately triumph over evil. Despite the challenges I have faced, I am determined to continue expressing myself through my art and making a mark in the artistic community.
