Guardian of the milky way this work was inspired by the birth process that forces the women to come face to face with the guardian of the threshold, a term coined by R. Steiner. Rudolf Steiner, 1861-1925, was an Austrian philosopher who founded anthroposophy, an esoteric doctrine which he calls “path of knowledge to restore the link between human and spiritual worlds”. Meetings with the Threshold Keeper are experiences of great importance that accompany entry into the higher worlds. Most notably, while a women gives birth she is forced to let go of any fear that could prevent the birth process from reaching fruition, a secret trust is built with the guardian. The work is made of scraps of fabric sewn together. A technique that is commonly referred to as a craft is taken out of its context and becomes a piece of art with the stitching as a way of gathering fragments of life into one coherent body. Just like human life that is made of endless organs and cells.
