Collage artist specialized in recycling photos and papers to create extraordinary characters and animals. Scottish woman based in Paris. - Artist in heart, I painted first works in my early teens. I left my Scottish motherland to discover Europe and finally settled down in France, returning neither to Scotland, neither to my art studies. After the birth of my kids, aiming for an artistic job where I could express creativity, I decided to direct myself to fashion design in Paris, quickly collaborating with well known women's magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire... After dressing up women, I paint them in intricate colored clothes, ornamented with feathers or beads. I extend my art to a fantastic bestiary: elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinoceros... My work combines an unique way of using paint and collage by choosing infinitively small pieces of torn up images that I put together like I would with embroidery on a dress. This unusual technique gives singular depth and relief to my paintings.
