About The Artwork

My experiences and time spent in nature is what has inspired my work, this work. Our innate connection as humans with the natural world has brought me to create this piece. I’m a nudist and artist. I spend time with myself and fellow human beings in nature. I took this photograph of Kristen in Tulum after we met naked in the ocean under the full moon rising. This image, and all of my images, represent and remind me of everyday my everyday serendipity. I hope that the viewers will be reminded of our beautiful connection with mother earth: we are all one, born wild, we are the earth. I chose this subject matter because all of my work deals with the nude human figure in some capacity, focused on the relationship we have with the planet and other beings within this realm. The mixed media is an older passion of mine that I’ve begun to reinvent as a professional artist, utilizing found objects - animal parts - plants - crystals - combining them to create a representation of our world and the energies within. This piece is set on a wood panel, covered in a canvas print, combined with a rattlesnake (skin, tail, and head - that my family killed and skinned in order to protect from an attack), flowers, leaves, rocks, and crystals that I’ve collected on my journey over recent years. I cemented everything in place with resin… encasing the vibrations of these earthly items to create a powerful, energetic composition. This style is me, a representation of all things beautiful, natural and free.
