'Monmouth Memories,' is a cubist and expressionist style wall art that transcends time and space. This work invites you to relive the enchanting journey across rolling Welsh fields, and an old bridge to arrive at the venerable Middle Ages city gate. The journey unfolds across sprawling fields with the town in the distance, leading the viewer to the focal point, the resplendent Middle Ages city gate. Crafted from yellow stone, its stands as a sentinel to the town's rich history. My artwork explores the cross-overs between photography, collage, digital art and cubist paintings as a way of capturing memories and imagination. The pictures are created using a pen and ink style digitally, based upon my own photographs, and are printed with high-definition inks on stretched canvas. As you navigate this visual symphony, each fragment echoes the footsteps through Monmouth's cobblestone streets, creating an immersive experience. The white-washed buildings, silent witnesses to centuries gone by, emerge as stoic symbols of resilience and endurance. The kaleidoscopic combination of hues and angles mimics the complex nature of memory, where different moments converge into a whole, and escape the flat 2D surface. The composition invites you to explore the nuances of Monmouth's past and present, inviting contemplation on the passage of time. From the winding pathways to the architectural marvels, the artwork serves as a visual anthology, a testament to the town's enduring spirit. 'Monmouth Memories' beckons you to immerse yourself in the confluence of history, nostalgia, and artistic innovation, a timeless ode to a town etched in the annals of time.

I help bring interest to interior spaces through creative and dramatic fine art pictures. I have been a creator all my life from a childhood with construction toys and later as a professional engineer. Having been gifted my first camera in 1969, I have maintained an interest in photography since then, studying the subject more seriously in recent years. I specialise in capturing ordinary subjects and making them extra ordinary using closeups, lighting, colour or editing to help create mood, inspiration, or interesting talking points. I have a passion for taking time to notice the natural beauty that surrounds us, from the depths of space to the small creatures sharing our lives. In my work I try to encourage the viewer to see the ‘everyday’ in a new light by emphasising the extraordinary nature of its complexity or including it an arrangement to suggest an idea or a concept.
