In the heart of the Newfoundland Series lies a tranquil haven known as Bowring Park, a serene oasis where nature's beauty takes center stage. Here, amidst the vibrant tapestry of autumn trees, a pristine lake reflects the warm hues of the season. This idyllic scene captures the essence of open spaces, freedom, lightness, and boundless happiness. The artist was deeply inspired by the captivating beauty of autumn, where nature dons its finest attire. It was this seasonal transformation that drew them to Bowring Park, where the interplay of light and water during the evening hours bathes the landscape in a radiant glow. It allowed the artist to intricately render the myriad shades of autumn foliage and capture the mesmerizing dance of light on the tranquil waters. The theme of a park with a lake symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of human recreation and the natural world. Viewers of this artwork are invited to immerse themselves in the park's serenity, to feel the crispness of the autumn air, and to revel in the simple joy of witnessing the beauty of nature's transformation. To encapsulate the essence of this scene, a few lines from the poet John Keats gracefully capture the spirit of autumn: "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun; Conspiring with him how to load and bless With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run."

Valentyna Rybkina was born in 1977. After graduating from National University with a Master's in Politology and Sociology, she started to oil paint in 2013 as a self-taught artist influenced by great artists like Aivazovsky. She invites you to remember with her paintings the sunny and happy places you may have visited or plan to visit again, to see how beautiful nature is. She hopes you can look at the colors of her painting, enjoy them, relax, and forget about your problems. Life is good ;) She is especially interested in oil landscapes (ocean and seascape) and has always been passionate about flowers - these are the main thematic focus of all her works.
