About The Artwork
This pencil portrait is inspired by Ingres and Raphael. It attempts to show the character of a famous actress as described in her features and her expression. Most of my art is abstract, but I took a year off, drawing only portraits. This is one of my best. It expresses beauty, and sensitivity. There is a great gentleness to a woman's face, which I attempt to represent here. It took a great deal of work, but I think the final product is worth the effort.
