About The Artwork
I was traveling through the Gulf of Morrosquillo, in the Colombian Caribbean, when I came across this boat stranded on the sand. The locals told me that besides being used for fishing, it had also made trips carrying contraband merchandise. It was 1992, and it's possible that it even served in the drug trafficking routes (marijuana). The abandonment in the middle of a beach caught my attention like a giant that has lost its course.
