This painting is part of the Peaky Blinders series. Arthur has always been such an interesting character, full of chaotic rage and emotional turmoil. I wanted to paint a portrait which depicted glimpses of both sides of his personality. I also wanted the colours and close up cropping of the face to mirror the very stylised cinematography of the show.
