About The Artwork
This Drawing, taken from my recent emerging series, ‘That Day my Father will Die’, is inspired the poem ‘Mad Girls Love Song’ by Sylvia Plath It sums up tumultuous feelings that accompany love and loss, it’s words depicting vividly in my mind the fragility of the human sense of self swept up and away by grief. I work figuratively to depict emotional experience, drawing out the abstract from within through diagrammatic and uncanny form Drawing is the foundation of my practice
